About CRM Facility project

Launched in March 2025, the 36-month project is dedicated to establishing sustainable and diversified critical raw material supplies through strengthening global partnerships and advancing international projects. It addresses supply chain vulnerabilities, mitigates disruption risks, and enhances Europe’s industrial resilience and strategic autonomy in an evolving global market.

Aligned with the Critical Raw Materials Act, EIT RawMaterials strengthens Europe’s raw materials supply chains and strategic autonomy through global partnerships, investments, innovation, and skills development. InnoEnergy focuses on securing minerals for the battery sector, leveraging its European Battery Alliance expertise to foster industry collaborations and mobilise investments.

FAQ's

The CRM-F in principle can operate in any country outside the EU. However, there are certain regions and countries that are treated as ‘priority’, and include at lest all countries with which the EU has signed CRM Partnerships. These are Argentina, Brazil and Chile (Latin America), South Africa, Namibia, Tanzania, Zambia, DRC, Rwanda and Morocco (Africa), Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyztan, Tadjikistan (Central Asia), Ukraine, West Balkans, Greenland (Europe) and New Caledonia (OCT).
